HomePod won't play my Apple Music Playlists

After updating to the latest software my HomePods won't play my playlists. It will play music from Apple Music but when I ask Siri to play my playlists it says, 'Now playing ...... followed by Sorry, there was a problem with Apple Music . I have tried everything, signed out and in of iCloud, restarted the HomePods, reset them, I am at my wits end, nothing I do solves the problem. I may add I used a pair in stereo linked to my Apple TV, they work with my Apple TV and normal Siri functions work but it won't play my playlists.

  1. Make sure your HomePods are up to date with the latest software. You can check for updates by opening the Home app, tapping the Home icon in the top left corner of the screen, and then tapping Settings > Software Update.
  2. Restart your HomePods. You can do this by unplugging them from power for 30 seconds, then plugging them back in.
  3. Restart your modem and router. You can do this by unplugging them from power for 30 seconds, then plugging them back in.
  4. Sign out of iCloud on your HomePods and then sign back in. To do this, open the Home app, tap the Home icon in the top left corner of the screen, and then tap Settings > iCloud. Tap Sign Out, then tap Sign In.
  5. Reset your HomePods to factory settings. This will erase all of the data on your HomePods, so be sure to back up your music library before you do this. To reset your HomePods, open the Home app, tap the Home icon in the top left corner of the screen, and then tap Settings > General > Reset HomePod. Tap Reset HomePod, then tap Reset HomePod again to confirm.

If you've tried all of these things and the issue is still happening, you can contact Apple Support for further assistance.

I also see that it says "HomePod, iOS 13" right above your posting date, which could also be a problem if your phone is on iOS 13, as iOS 16.4 is the latest release.
