iCloud calendar sharing

The person I have shared my iCould calendar with keeps getting en error message saying when they try to accept the invite that the 'Calendar is Unavailable'. I have shared other iCloud calendars with this same person (same email address) with no issues (i.e., currently sharing). This problem is only happening on this particular, newly created calendar. The new calendar is set to Public. It also won't let me share a link to the new calendar. The error message when the person tries to open the link says Insecure Connection. It makes me think there is something wrong with this particular calendar -- but it is otherwise working normally? Just not able to be shared. Help

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16

Hello bleepbloop_62,

Based on what you've told us, the invitee should be able to view the public calendar. You can learn more about sharing a calendar publicly here: Share a calendar on iCloud.com - Apple Support

These steps may help:

Share a calendar publicly
When you share a calendar publicly, your invitees automatically receive an email that includes the calendar URL. An invitee doesn’t need to be an iCloud user to accept an invitation to view a shared public calendar.
Only the calendar’s owner can share and make changes to a public calendar.
1. In Calendar on iCloud.com, click Share Calendar to the right of the calendar’s name in the sidebar, then select Public Calendar.
2. Tip: The share icon is faint if the calendar isn’t shared. When you move the pointer over the icon, it darkens.
3. To invite people to view the calendar, click Email Link.
4. Type one or more email addresses in the To field, then click Send.

If the invitee isn't able to view the shared calendar using the link provided, the issue may be on the invitees side. We recommend having contact Official Apple Support for help.

Thanks.
