Find/replace invisibles in Pages

This function used to be a straightforward batch process and it's gone now. I can't be the only person who had to go through somebody else's doc with double spaces after each period and replace them all one by one. Infuriating. I know some people have suggested fixes involving three keystrokes to delete a single space. Put this function back please.

It should have been as simple as entering two spaces for the Find entry and a single space for the Replace, then selecting Replace All. That is a whole document solution with one instance of Find/Replace that works for me in Pages v13.
