I totally agree. I rarely use FCP because of this issue. Any time I think, oh let's edit some video, I remember how FCP will not open without me digging into my plugins and deleting all the hangs ups from the validation process. It could take an hour to get it to open. Then I just give up and try and use some other tool.
This has been a problem since time began. I have 800 or so audio plugs and I NEVER EVER use them in FCP. I always bring in final audio to FCP, so I do not need these audio plugins. It is beyond frustrating that Apple does not care about this issue.
Let us bypass this process that hobbles FCP.
Thanks Ian .. Id just updated to Ventura so yes definitely that's a option to go back but I think I'm going to use Pro Tools with AAX plug ins and avoid using any AU plug ins or other apps that use them for the time being, I was just about to start on Logic but ill wait .. that will keep me running till there is a fix. Id forgotten Pro Tools no longer uses AU on the version I have.. so that's something
My solution takes only a few minutes of your time as downloading the macOS and installing it is done automatically. Creating a new volume takes literally around a minute and the only other thing that takes any of your time is creating the new account etc. on the new volume . . . again only a few minutes.
When I use FCP I use the Adobe suite ProTools and a plethora of other programs simultaneously.. with a variety of plug ins .. a few with licence keys with apps as well .. this isn’t just a few minute job .. far easier for me to ditch the AU plug Ins as I don’t process audio at all in FCP or make a Automator script.. thanks for trying though :)
I have hundreds of plugins, I need them to use in Logic Pro, I don't use them in FC, I can't remove them. Every time I open Final Cut it spends a lot of time validating them, it's absurd not being able to turn this validation off, you can't even turn it off in the Final Settings menu Cut. Absurd and Apple does nothing MONTHS later?
Removing the problematic audio units appears to be the only solution for now. Spent half a day deleting the offending AUs just to get FCP to launch. Hope Apple addresses this soon... highly annoying.
@NateWalker - be sure to send Apple feedback about your use case. Final Cut Pro>Provide Final Cut Pro Feedback... or use this link Feedback - Final Cut Pro - Apple
This person has removed third party plugins and was back in business in 10 minutes.

I think the simpler solution is to switch to a separate FCP user without the Audio Units or at least without the problem ones.
Until this is resolved, you may want to use an Automator Quick Action to facilitate the moving of these audio units, as I exemplified in one of the threads I linked to above.
Waow crap !!!
Same for me and doesn't work even I delete the components...
My FCPX is useful : don't know what to do...
Yes but even it move it away, FCPX is still trying ton open it
If you’ve moved all components out, also try deleting preferences by holding down alt + cmd keys when you launch the fcp x app. It should come up with a prompt to delete prefs.
You can try rebooting your system. It worked for me when I encountered this exact issue.

Thx I’ll try these and get back to you ;)
