I totally agree. I rarely use FCP because of this issue. Any time I think, oh let's edit some video, I remember how FCP will not open without me digging into my plugins and deleting all the hangs ups from the validation process. It could take an hour to get it to open. Then I just give up and try and use some other tool.
This has been a problem since time began. I have 800 or so audio plugs and I NEVER EVER use them in FCP. I always bring in final audio to FCP, so I do not need these audio plugins. It is beyond frustrating that Apple does not care about this issue.
Let us bypass this process that hobbles FCP.
No one from Apple engineering here. This is a user to user forum. Please use feedback to report your issue. You could try using FCP in a separate admin user on your system.
Specifically, this process is freezing on every boot of the software: com.apple.audio.InfoHelper
I happens with AU plugins randomly, it's the AU analysis system that is at fault. AU plugins that were no problem before are now a problem since Ventura 31.3.1. Removing them won't do any good.
Again, removing AU plugins often doesn't work, as in my case. It's the analyzer, not the plugins.
This has been triggered by the latest Ventura update.
Sorry. 13.3 wasn’t released until March 23. I don’t believe the problem was in 13.3. The first reports didn’t start until the 13.3.1 security update.
Which Apple AUs?
I have the same problem. Is there a way to launch Final Cut Pro to ignore plug-ins?
Same issue. It's really frustrating.
Rename the folder to something else, like Components.ignore
Try fcp.co.
From memory I can't remember if tools still uses just aax and not au at all .. that would be a workaround not for logic though
You should be able to open and operate FCP and all the other apps that are in your existing Applications folder from the new volume without any need to reinstall them. (Mac HD>Applications)
13.4 came out a few days ago.
Did you update to 13.4? Several people reported that it fixed it for them (but apparently not for everyone).
