Adding a new vpn service to Settings/Preferences?

have used one vpn. now testing a different vpn. On Mac it’s working. On iPhone it’s thinks it is but whatsmyipaddress.com says my IP address isn’t the one of vpn.

I go to Setting/Preferences, I see only my old vpn. when I click on adding a vpn configuration, all I see is certain protocol choices. L2TP, CiscoIP, and IKEv2. my new service uses OpenVPN. How to I add new one? Where? on both Mac and iOS.

Cannot use VPN with mini iPad? I am curious if others are having the same issue here. Did the latest software update remove our ability to use our VPN service, when prior to the update I was able to use a VPN app. Does anyone know about this technical issue? Also, why would Apple make this change (perhaps someone on their tech team can explain), when I use the same VPN for my MacBook Pro? I am very disappointed if it is, in fact the case that I will not be able to use my VPN -- I would have never purchased an iPad and it WAS working prior to the software update.

Unable to use different VPN apps after iOS 18.5 update I don know why I can’t use different vpn apps, but I think it’s happened after I downloaded new iOS 18.5 [Re-Titled by Moderator]
