securityd permanently active at 15% cpu

Hi all,

maybe somebody knows this issue and can help.

Since a few days, the fan of my MacBook Pro 2018 (macOS 12.6.4) is permanently running. In the Activity Monitor, the process "securityd" is at 15% CPU all the time, and "trustd" at 8% CPU.

Re-booting the machine fixes the problem temporarily, but after a few minutes, securityd is back at 15% and the fans running again.

What could be the reason for this?

Thank you and greetings

Andreas

securityd is a normal background process, but I understand but is occupying an abnormal amount of CPU time.

Please determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support.
