Forgot firmware password for Macbook Air A1466

Hi guys greetings

i have a macbook air 13 inch model A1466 serial no FV****1WK recently i startwd getting ?folder thing and then i forgot my firmware password so now i cannot get into the system and since my ssd card is dead I cannot remove firmware password in recovery mode.

should i replace the ssd card first and then try. any suggestion would help

Please refer to this excerpt from Set a firmware password on your Mac - Apple Support:


"If you can't remember your firmware password, schedule an in-person service appointment with an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. Bring your Mac to the appointment, and bring your original receipt or invoice as proof of purchase."
