DuckDuckGo removal

Every suggestion that I can find to remove DuckDuckGo from my iphone 13Pro says to go to Safari>Preferences. But when I go to Safari, there is no 'Preferences' choice whatsoever. Other sugestions say to tap DuckDuckGo icon, but there is no DuckDuckGo icon, and using the search function brings up nothing. I am having problems with DuckDuckGo blocking my outgoing mail. Help?

That's not right for the reasons you explained.

More information is needed to solve the problem. First of all DuckDuckGo does not block outgoing mail, but I understand you want to remove the app from your iPhone. That's easily accomplished by removing it just like any other app: Remove apps from iPhone - Apple Support.

But as you wrote, you can't find it, which is the reason more information is needed. If DuckDuckGo is not present then clearly it cannot be affecting Mail.

DuckDuckGo is one of the search engine choices incorporated in iOS, and as such it cannot be removed, but cannot affect Mail either.

More information please.
