Cannot delete a Hotmail account from Iphone 14

Greetings,

I am trying to delete a Hotmail account from a Iphone 14.

Previously I had no issues adding or deleting an email account.

However, this time when I am trying to delete the account, the screen shows it deleting and thereafter it time out and the account is still there. I did switch the mail tab off.

Any help is highly appreciated.
