iPod and Libby app

For decades, I have been able to download audiobooks from my library into an app on my computer called OverDrive. From there, I could transfer onto my iPod classic using iTunes. We are now being forced to use an app called Libby… And I fear I cannot seem to figure out how one transfers hooks onto my iPod classic via the Libby app.

does anybody know whether this is even possible?

As far as I know, it has never been possible to use Overdrive on an iPod Classic. Perhaps you mean an iPod Touch. See Identify your iPod model - Apple Support

However, it may not be possible to install Libby on your iPod Touch - it will depend on which version of iOS the app requires. My research suggests that it requires iOS 16, which even the more recent iPod Touch models are unable to install (that's the 6th and 7th generation models).

Your signature strip suggest that you have an iPad, although I'm aware that the signature strip ins't always accurate. If you do have an iPad, perhaps you can install Libby on that instead.

Thanks for advice. No, my iPad is very old… And my iPod touch is probably not new enough either. But I have spent decades being able to download onto the iPod Classix from my library to overdrive app in my computer and then transfer wizard takes it into my iTunes library, which allows it to download onto the iPod classic. iPod classics… As you know, rock completely… As, they don’t need charging for almost 2 to 3 days of constant use. Unlike phones, and iPod touches, which would need charging after half a day with constant use. Big sigh! But thanks for trying.
