Cannot share my family's storage

When I accepted to share my family's storage, it kept saying " the region/country do not match" but we all bought the devices in Canada. Even I tried many times to set my apple account region to Canada, restarted the devices again and again, it never worked. Could anyone help? Many thanks!

I spoke to support, and resolved it.

the problem was that the one I was trying to add was already an Organizer on their device. So I stopped family sharing on that device, and then I was able to add them.

the error is misleading.

I just ran into this same issue. I tried to troubleshoot it based on what I’d read in the discussions to no avail. I contacted support, who were exceptionally helpful. The resolution in my case was to click the ‘invite in person’ button when trying to send the invite. Previously I had been sending it through messages and/or airdrop. When I clicked that link, I would get the region/country error. When I logged in through the invite in person, no such error appeared. Hope that’s helpful.
