Ringer set to loudest

I'm having an issue with iOS 16.4.

My ringer/ringtone is set to loudest despite my ringtone and alert volume being set to 50%. I've tried decreasing it to 25%, but it wouldn't work. It is also affected by the audio volume for some reason, and it is either set to loudest or quietest.

If anyone knows how to revert it back, please let me know. I keep missing calls because of this bug.

Try the following setting in the Settings app.

Open Settings ➡️ Sounds & Haptics ➡️ Change with Buttons: Set this to OFF.

Ensure that you have the desired volume level set on Ringtone and Alert Volume.

Once the above is set then the volume buttons on the side of the iPhone will not affect the Ringtone volume level. The ringtone volume level will remain constant until you get back to the settings and adjust it.
