Airplay and screen mirroring not working only transmit audio

I have an iPhone 14 (IOS 16.4.1) and I am trying to airplay or screen mirror my iPhone to a Mac mini (MacOS Ventura 13.2.1). Only sound comes through, no image. It was working fine two days ago, I have been using airplay to do my Fitness+ exercises almost every day for the past month.

I have restarted both devices 3 times and the internet modem as well. Nothing has changed.

It would be great if Apple makes Fitness+ available for Macs because when airplay gets buggy, You'd still be able to use a big screen to work out.

Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. But I had tried those steps several times and they had not worked. I contacted Apple support via chat and we figured out the problem.

I created a new user on the Mac mini, and airplay was working fine there. So the issue was isolated to the main user. I realized I had a Wacom tablet connected as an extension of my monitor. But it was turned off so I could not see that AirPlay was actually transmitting video there.

once I turned it on I was able to change the monitor settings at the top to use the main monitor instead of the Wacom.

all fixed! Silly me.
