Ethernet service is gone from my Imac

Hello,

I was using connection via cable for years and out from nowhere, it stopped to work . When i go to Settings > Network, i no longer see Ethernet service. When i try to add it again, it's not on the list to add service. What should i do to restore the Ethernet service ?

How to restore WAN connection on 2015 iMac after disconnecting ethernet cable? I have a 2015 iMac 27 i7. I disconnected the ethernet cable from the back while it was running so I could plug it into my Mac mini for a few minutes. When I plugged the ethernet cable back into the iMac, all network connections seemed to be gone, no wifi or ethernet connection to internet, no network connection to my other apple computers. I rebooted, with no change. I started in safe mode, with no change. I deactivated the ethernet connection in system settings, but wifi still doesn't work. I deleted the service and added it again, with no fix. Any help would be appreciated! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Unable to set up Ethernet connection on my Mac mini late 2018 I have a late 2018 Mac mini that has WiFi but no Ethernet. It shows up in the System Report, but nothing under Network in System Settings. When I try to add Ethernet as a new service, these are the only things available. I do have the Ethernet cable plugged in and it works on another Mac. Any ideas? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Have a look at > Set up a network service on Mac - Apple Support

and > Change Ethernet settings on Mac - Apple Support

If that does not help, startup in Safe Mode as per > How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Then if that still does not help, see > Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support
