Why whatsapp crashing after iOS update to 16.4.1

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

• Press and quickly release Volume UP button
• Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
• Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). 

(2)  If the above does not work then - See whether WhatsApp can be updated on your iPhone to its latest version (if it hasn’t been already).

I tried reinstalling the app and also updating the ios from ios 16.4 to 16.4.1 but still the same issue.

I'm really disatisfied and feeling so bad that WhatsApp and Apple cant find a fix for this even after reporting for these many days, so pathetic!

Apple is not responsible for 3rd party apps like WhatsApp, and Apple does not have access to the code for WhatsApp so they can’t fix it. If you have a problem with WhatsApp only Meta (who owns WhatsApp) can fix it.

And if Axel Foley’s instructions for a forced restart don’t work either you didn’t do them correctly or your phone has a hardware problem.
