Warranty on new Macbook Pro appears to be incorrect

Hello, I have been surfing through menu options without success. My warranty expires in January 2024 (from About this Mac) but I didn't acquire the Macbook Pro until April 4th 2023 and it is my understanding that the warranty is a year and there is an option to extend for a price. I was hoping to reach Apple but there doesn't appear to be a menu option. Please advise. Thanks

I don't know the reason for the apparently wrong warranty date. You can use the following for methods to contact Apple support: Contact - Official Apple Support

There is no option to extend the limited warranty. If you purchase AppleCare within 60 days of purchase of the MacBook Pro, there is an option to extend that when it expires. See: AppleCare Products - Mac - Apple and Extend your AppleCare+ coverage - Apple Support

Try visiting the following website: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support

Enter your MacBook Pro's serial number, there may be an option to update your purchase day.

If that doesn't work and you have an iOS device, download the Apple Support app, tap on your MacBook Pro from the list of your devices and then tap "Device Details". If you don't find an option to update your purchase date these as well, contact Apple Support.
