How to remove transparent/blank notifications in iOS 16.2 lock screen and notification center?

Hello Apple community,

I have recently updated my iPhone to iOS 16.2, and I have noticed that my notifications appear transparent/blank in both the lock screen and the notification center. I find this quite inconvenient as it makes it difficult to read my notifications.

I've tried changing the settings, but it doesn't seem to be related to any specific app notifications. And i can't find a way to fix this issue. Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the transparency in notifications in iOS 16.2?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi saradomin7,

We recommend an iOS update. Apple has released a handful of updates since iOS 16.2, and each one provides important bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone.

An update may resolve the notifications issue you're experiencing as well.

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.
