Is it worth it to take an AirTag in for repair?

I bought an AirTag a little over a year ago, had it working and connected to my phone. Leant it to someone, and when they took it apart to restart it and give it back, they shoved the battery in the wrong way. It's no longer connecting to any devices, and I can see that one of the prongs inside the AirTag is bent.

I'm thinking about taking it in for an inspection and possible repair–– has anyone done this before? An online advisor said that this is repairable (though, I'm taking his knowledge with a grain of salt). Asking because I know that an AirTag is only $30, so spending too much on a repair would be a waste of money. But, having a broken AirTag is also a waste of $30, you know?

Of course it had to get broken a literal days after a year from purchase.
