I am unable to download iTunes onto my MacBook to restore my iPhone. Any ideas on why? My MacBook is fully updated. So frustrated right now.

Then you have all you need. Finder is now used. Not iTunes.

I’m experiencing the same with iTunes on my iPhone 12 mini. I purchased a ringtone, and it won’t download. I already restarted my device, still nothing.
Edit: I’m on the latest software version.
Whatever y’all are reading here that references iTunes is not applicable to macOS 10.15 Catalina, nor macOS 11 Big Sur, nor mcOS 12 Monterey, nor the current macOS 13 Ventura.
Again, for those that are even slightly unclear, iTunes does not exist for current macOS, and is NOT used on current macOS. Not for device resets, and not for loading ringtones.
For recent macOS…
…iTunes is GONE.
…iTunes is NOT USED.
…iTunes DOES NOT EXIST.
Apple replaced iTunes for device recovery, starting with macOS 10.15 Catalina. With Finder.
Device reset: tap or click ➡️➡️➡️ Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support ⬅️⬅️⬅️
To add ringtones (M4R files) on macOS 10.15 Catalina or later: connect your iPhone or iPad to your Mac using a USB cable. This can be the same cable you charge your iPhone or iPad with. Open Finder app. (Not iTunes!) In the left column of Finder, select your iPhone or iPad. Open the General tab. Now drag and drop or cut and paste the ringtone M4R file into the General window.
Are you really on OS X 10.10? If so, get to at least OS X 10.11.
Preferably upgrade to yet newer OS X or macOS, if your Mac supports it.

iTunes is not used, not needed, and not involved here.
Use Finder.
I’ve linked to the instructions, using Finder.
Again, see the following link (using Finder): Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
