I can't drag/drop the calculator app to the dock

Good morning, I got it!

I did do your safe mode and had the same problem.

Then I tried launching the app from Finder (as you do)

I was able to drag and drop onto my Dock and the option to keep it there.

Thank you for replying so quickly. It does not open in the dock.

When I go to Launchpad and select calculator- it opens on my screen, not the dock.

It behaves like a window, not an app for the dock area.

When I go up to the options at the top, there's no option to Move to the dock.

It doesn't for me.

1) screenshot: on my screen and not in the dock

2) when I try to drag it to the dock - it shows up behind my dock

I have not tried safe mode yet.

Safe mode: I read the instructions, but am a bit nervous about doing this "start up disk"

What is this doing?
