Dark greenish dot iPad Pro 12.9, 5th generation

This has recently appeared on my iPad Pro.

It doesn’t appear in a screenshot so this is taken with iPhone.

Sometimes it disappears for a short while.

I’ve tried rebooting.

Any solutions please?

it’s getting really distracting.

As described, the dark patch illustrated in your photo, may be due to an [intermittent] failure of one of the miniLED backlight dimming zones. This will ultimately be a display fault, that to correct, will require repair.


You would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad - and you will be able to explore your available options:
