WiFI assistant

I have recently experienced a feature on a device , wi-fi assistant, which allow switching between 2 wifi networks automatically when one of those have poor signal. Can the "wi-fi assistant" from I.O.S. do that, instead switching only when lose the signal ?

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 16
