Apple iPhone AirPlay to Samsung 7 smart tv

I want to airplay from my Apple iPhone to my Samsung smart tv for mlb.tv. When I try, my list only gives me master tv in our other room and not the Samsung tv. Samsung tv menu says connected and I can screen mirror but not airplay. How do I add Samsung tv to airplay list?

Peer to Peer airplay/screen mirroring on Samsung Smart TVs with Airplay 2 built in From my understanding and testing, peer to peer airplay works with WiFi ENABLED on an Apple device (iPhone, Mac, etc) but not actually connected to a WiFi network, and an Apple TV that can also be connected or not connected to a WiFi Network. The Apple device and the Apple TV create an Ad Hoc peer to peer connection. I did some testing on Samsung Smart TVs with Airplay 2 built in and this does not work. Airplay only seems to work when both the Apple device and the Samsung TV with Airplay 2 built in are on the same network. Is this by design? Does peer to peer airplay only work between Apple devices? I only found 1 article online confirming this so I thought I would ask this question here for more confirmation!

Can I stream from my iPhone to AppleTV device with AirPlay? Can I mirror content from my iPhone to Apple TV? I have an older television that doens't support AirPlay,so I am considering purchasing an Apple Tv device to make it work.
