Can't install Zoom on MacBook Air (M1, 2020

Hi!

My 2020 Macbook Air is running Ventura 13.3.1, but it will not allow me to install the Zoom .pkg. There was a prior thread about this issue (Ventura - Can't install any .pkg - Apple Community) and I also followed the suggestions at https://www.howtoisolve.com/how-to-install-zoom-on-macbook-mac-start-video-and-audio-call-or-conference-calls/. Nothing has worked so far, even after I reinstalled Ventura. Any suggestions? Zoom Support says they cannot provide any further advice.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried Safe Mode and it still didn't install. Neither after another reinstallation of Ventura OS. However I just tried again, and instead of using the option for installation for all users, I used the the single user option and installation was successful! So I am a happy camper again. Thanks for all your help!

I just installed Zoom on my M1 MacBook Air without a problem. Did you download the ARM64 version of Zoom?

Hi Alicia783! I ran the downloaded the Zoom installer for Macs with Apple Silicon chips, and as it guided me through through the menu, I came to this (below):

Previously, I selected all users, but this time I used "Install for me only' and it worked. I hope it works for you also!

You're welcome. The first thing you need to do is uninstall CleanMyMac according to the instructions. It is a known bad actor for causing a multitude of issues.

Start by getting rid of Clean My Mac and whatever it is you have have from McAfee. Clean My Mac can do enough harm to your computer than many have labeled it, if not malware, malware-adjacent. It's not necessary. Neither is McAfee. Both can affect the way your computer performs.

Thanks for the suggestion. I uninstalled CleanMy Mac software. Unfortunately, Zoom will still not install.

Thanks for the suggestion similar to dialabrian. I also learned a bit from your older post on the hyperlink. Unfortunately uninstalling CleanMy Mac did not help.
