Share ETA function not sending notification.

When I share my ETA it does not notify the person that I shared with no notification from maps or iMessage If the person I shared with opens the maps app then it will show that I am sharing my ETA but there was no notification that the sharing had started. How can I fix this problem? I would like for people to know when I am sharing my ETA with them otherwise it’s useless.

Share ETA isn’t working When I share my ETA it does not notify the person that I shared it with!! There is no sent text or alert showing my ETA. When I share it, the person I sent it to can only see it if they have maps open. But they don’t know to open it without any notification. I have to pull over on the road, type a text saying I shared it, then resume driving. This is totally useless!!!

Auto-share of ETA on Apple Maps is not working for home/work destination For the past year or so the Share ETA option stopped working on both my Home and Work Favorites in Apple Maps. I can't add anybody via the Share ETA option. I select it, add a contact, it shows them. After I save it and go back into the favorite it is gone. It just refuses to save for Home or Work. I can successfully add a contact to ANY OTHER favorite. But Home and Work refuse to accept one. I briefly saw this work again in one of the random ios16 updates during the year but then it went away on the next update. It continues to not work on the ios17 betas. Share ETA Not Working After IOS 18 update Before updating, Apple Maps would allow me to share my ETA and would turn from blue to green when doing so. Now, each time I try to share my location with a contact, it will say “sharing ETA” before the tab drops without actually sharing my location. Location services are turned on for Apple Maps, as they always have been. Is anyone else having this issue :/
