When you send me a WhatsApp message, I don't see a preview of the message in the update center and outside of the WhatsApp application itself. I checked the WhatsApp settings, and everything looks fine. When I am sent a message, I only see a message amount on the app icon - not the preview of the message. In other apps, the problem does not exist and everything is fine.

Hmm, I never had this problem before.
If you have all settings on, Make sure you are not in a focus setting where WhatsApp is disabled to send notifications.
If you have any focuses, that is.
If this doesn't work, I'm pretty sure it's an iOS 16 glitch or bug. I've experienced a lot of them and they are fairly common. I recommend to keep your iPhone updated just incase the bug gets resolved.
