Hello! I currently don’t have wifi at the moment but I do have my personal hotspot and personal data. However, my personal hotspot isn’t the fastest hit my data is. I was just wondering does AirPlay use my phones personal data if I use it to stream on my iMac? Thank you!

When using a Personal Hotspot on iPhone for internet access, then all connected devices use that cellular connection, with the speed that is available for that. That includes AirPlay for online streaming content.
Your mobile service provider will detect hotspot use, and may change (limit) the bandwidth for hotspot use. If you have a mobile plan with a data cap, then that counts for hotspot use as well.
Does AirPlay use iPhone internet speed or iMac?
