How can I turn off my iPhone mini 12 if doing the volume up, down and side button does not work

If you are doing the forced reset correctly and it doesn’t work your phone has a hardware problem. But you must be precise in how you do it:

• Press and quickly release VOLUME UP

     then

• Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN

     then

• Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears, and hold long enough!

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky.

If you just want to turn off your iPhone, then you have to hold Volume Up + Side Button at the same time until you get to the Shutdown Menu.

You can also turn off your iPhone in Settings. Go to:
