MacBook Pro will not recognize my Apple ID password

MacBook Pro will not recognize my Apple ID password and I am stuck on the Reset Password screen with no other options


MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

You needed an AppleID and password to post to these community forums.


Verify the capslock is not on, all psswd are case sensitive.

this prevents you from using your Apple ID to reset your password

Reset your login password using your Apple ID


Click the arrow next to “reset it using your Apple ID.” If you don't see an arrow , see the Apple Support article If you can't reset your Mac login password. Enter an Apple ID and password, then click Next. Follow the instructions to reset your login password.
