Does the User use Tine Machine Backup on the Now dead older computer ?

I second P. Phillips suggestion of using the Time Machine backup. In fact, I'd use it even if the mac were working.
But... maybe your mac is not dead. I'd try to reset the SMC and see if that can bring it back to life.
Good idea from @ Luis Sequeira1 and see of you can revive the machine
