Can’t start computer

MacBook Air Computer died last night - fan noise first then shut down. Cannot restart - Mac air model 7,2 Monterrey 12.6.3. My new MacBook Air 2arriving tomorrow- live 6 hrs from closest Mac help. Want to transfer with Migration Assistant but cannot access. Please HELP

Macbook Air A2179 - "Your computer restarted because of problem" restart loop - cant get Desktop after login Macbook air Intel (A2179) worked without problems for several years - now I can't log in, every time after entering the password the system does not load the desktop but restarts with the same message "your computer restarted because of...". I went through all the boot modes and none of them helped: safemode -> restart, diagnostics - 0 errors, disk check - no errors, target mode - I can't copy files, reset NVRAM / SMC - restart. I recently reinstalled the system in the option without losing user data - unfortunately it didn't change anything - trying to log in ends with a restart with the same message. The hardware goes through diagnostics, I checked the disks with the diskutil, RAM with MemTest Pro. I've read hundreds of threads about this error and performed all the suggested actions. The diagnostic tools work, but they don't show any errors. The problem is that after entering the passwords at the login screen, the system doesn't load the desktop. The screen goes black after a few seconds, and then displays the aforementioned message. I'm stuck

Problems starting mid-2012 MBP My mid-2012 Macbook Pro running 10.11.6 isn't starting until after I've done PRAM and SMC resets a few times. It appears that it's stuck in hibernation. It won't wake up, the light glows steady, not pulsing as when asleep. I have to hard shut down, then press the power button. The white light either immediately reappears steady or else flashes quickly and makes a metallic groaning noise. After making the noise, the light is back to being on steady. After about 5 attempts between hard shut down, SMC and PRAM resets, it will chime and begin loading. The HDD appears broken (I could get into recovery mode and use disk utility, but it couldn't see my Time Machine back up and reloading the OSX failed), so I made a bootable USB to load the OSX. I first tried installing on the HDD, but that failed so I installed OSX on an external SSD drive and it's working. I was now able to reload from a back up on Time Machine, but the start up problems persist. If it needs to restart, it's back to the steady white light. I purchased a 2021 14" MBP and that's going fine, but there are programs on the old MBP that I 'd like to continue to use. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Does the User use Tine Machine Backup on the Now dead older computer ?

If Yes - this article from Apple Should provide the needed information and method to transfer from the TM Mockup Drive to the new computer

I second P. Phillips suggestion of using the Time Machine backup. In fact, I'd use it even if the mac were working.

But... maybe your mac is not dead. I'd try to reset the SMC and see if that can bring it back to life.
