How can I disable the Nikud (vowel) button on the Hebrew keyboard on the iPad

Apple placed the Nikud (vowel) button on the iPad to the right of the space bar. Terrible design choice considering that almost no one actually uses Nikud in Hebrew and I cannot get through a single word where I end up with the vowel dots on the last letter instead of space due to the horrible placement.

How do I disable that button that is making the Hebrew keyboard downright unusable?

The iphone has an option to choose a Hebrew keyboard without that button, but it seems to be missing on the iPad.

Thanks

To ask Apple to add this option, you can use

In the meantime, see if there is an alternative keyboard in the app store. Check the Keyman app.
