Change of Country Apple Music Subscription Cancellation and Re-Subscribing

I have to change the country associated with my Apple ID for work (Canada > USA).

I understand I have to cancel my subscriptions, including Apple Music. But I am wondering what happens to my music library when I cancel and re-subscribe from the different region.

Will my music library and listening history be preserved, or will I be starting from scratch?
