Safari (and other Apple / Mac App Store apps) won't connect to the internet, but other browsers will Recently started having trouble with Safari not being able to connect to the internet even when other browsers and non Apple apps can. A restart fixes it, but if I close my MacBook or use a different app for a while and come back to Safari it says I am not connected to the internet. It also affects all other Apple apps, as well as apps downloaded from the app store (Twitter, Prime Video). However, I am still able to use browsers like Edge and apps like Outlook have no issues connecting. I am running MacOS 13.3.1 (a) on a 2021 14-inch MacBook Pro.

My MacBook Air connects to Wi-Fi but takes forever to connect to the internet and then is very very slow. Will it help if I change my provider? My new MacBook Air connects to Wi-Fi but takes forever to partially connect to the internet. It works very very slowly! Apple people said it worked perfectly in their shop! Spoken to isp a number of times with no solution! Should I try another isp provider?

the network connection was lost In trying to download the 150mB software package for my VPN, the process consistently stops at around 100mb with the message "the network connection was lost". Download running in Safari on a mid 2012 retina MacBookPro using OS10.15.6, D/L rate @ 40 - 150 kb/sec meaning a D/L time of approx 15 mins. Thinking that this could be due to either screen and/or power saving actions, I set screen saver to never & power saving to 1 hour. These changes have had no effect. The WiFi 'amphitheatre' was full, it was possible to access other sites simultaneously. This is bizarre as I had previously downloaded LibreOffice @ just under 300mB I found a previous post with same problem but it was not clear if this was ever solved. Any ideas ?
