I use Gmail and Apple Contacts. When I click on a name in my Contacts and click on the Mail icon next to it on my computer, Apple Mail opens. So it doesn't work for me.
Is there a way I can change Preferences to open Gmail instead? My Gmail email account is listed in Apple Mail Settings but I don't see how to make it the default account.

As I do not have the Contacts and Google Contact associated with the Contacts Application - do not know what the outcome may be
