You mention having a nice 2019 Samsung smart TV that supports the Apple TV app. Why would you want to watch in a browser? Please do not use TV browsers for this.

In browsers on computers (recommended: Firefox or Chrome), the controls should be visible when the mouse pointer is moved over the player window. The controls should fade out after 3–3.5 seconds when it doesn’t move.

The pause and forward/backward arrows do not leave the screen at all. They behave normally on youtube and tube but not Apple tv.

On what device and model is your issue happening?
