Only one way to send an incoming call to voicemail from Lock Screen on iOS 16.3

I agree with razmee209. Here’s another idea:

You may single click the power button. That will silence the ring and eventually send the call to voicemail.

Currently, it appears that there is only one way to send an incoming call to voicemail from the lock screen on iOS 16.3,

The current iOS version is 16.4.1.

Have you ever changed or set up Accessibility settings? In particular, is Settings > Accessibility > Side Button > [Click Speed] set to “Default”?

Yes it does! I have an iPhone 14 Pro using iOS 16.4.1 using AT&T.

If you have 14 Pro or Pro Max, you can unlock the phone with a swipe up twice while the call is ringing, then long press on the phone icon from the dynamic island, and finally click the red hang up button presented.

This is really nuts for basic functionality from a smartphone, how about just put a hangup button on the Lock Screen along with the green slide to answer button. I wonder sometimes what the devs are thinking, don't they ever want to send calls directly to vmail??? J

They gave you that option but you changed it to Apple pay and now it's is the developers fault?

Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Double-Click Side Button

I should have added that I routinely use Apple Pay, and in response to your question, I turned off the “Double-Click Side Button” for the first time.
