I don't think it's "odd". There is too much "noise" to make it "worthwhile" to look for "feedback".

That's why Apple has the feedback portal.

Not true. With the release of watchOS 10, Apple removed the ability to change watch faces just by swiping. Though there were many of us who thought this was great, there were a lot of people who didn't. And they submitted a lot of feedback. And added the option to change the behavior back to the way it used to work. This is but the most recent of many examples of changes made due to feedback.

Apple always reads feedback. That doesn't mean they always give you what you want. But, you will definitely not get what you want if you don't tell Apple you want it. In the time it took you to post here, you could have posted feedback. Would it have allowed the same satisfying feeling of righteous indignation? No. But it might have done some more substantive good.

yes but this will increase wear of the power button over time. i found tap to wake usefull and now i have to disable it because i cannot disable change wallpaper from the lockscreen. so bad apple!

I’ve never known a power button to wear out.

I've done all that is described here to no avail - it jumps to customizing wallpaper nearly immediately. So I deleted all wallpapers except one I am using. Apple cannot get me in this configuration.

This "feature" clearly qualifies as a bug. I assume this will addressed in a future update.

But I wonder how it passed QC

Drives me INSANE! STILL NO FIX ?!

Some pray, some use the Apple feedback form - it's just a matter of personal faith.

This has been bothering me for months… finally had enough and decided to google it today… only to find your post and many others explaining there is no fix for this “bug”
