How to disable change Wallpaper from Lock Screen

when you touch and hold the Lock Screen it lets you customize your wallpaper. BUT the problem is that it’s way too easy to enter this mode by just holding your phone!!

my phone is constantly entering the customize Lock Screen mode when I don’t want it to. We need a way to disable the “touch + hold Lock Screen” to change wallpaper feature. Let us change it in settings. NOT every darn time we accidentally touch the Lock Screen for more than a millisecond. Thank you!

Mine doesn’t have anything to do with the Apple Watch and still does it multiple times throughout the day.

No, it has absolutely nothing to do with an Apple Watch. It's just the way Apple designed iOS. You may find that things are somewhat better if you disable Raise to Wake. Settings>Display & Brightness>Raise to Wake>Off.

And submit your feedback to Apple:

Dear Apple. What part of LOCKED do you not understand? Seriously. For the love of all that is holy, STOP PUTTING INTERACTIVE THINGS ON THE **LOCK** SCREEN. If I wanted to change the wall paper of cancel a timer I’d UNLOCK the phone. Derp.

Dear jmcminn1076:

What part of this is a user to user only forum, which Apple doesn't participate in, do you not understand?

If you want to write Apple, then write Apple. You can use this link --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple

In these days of AI, it seems "odd" that a website that has "apple.com" in its address wouldn't be monitored by apple employees. Where is there a better source of feedback about user interfaces? Maybe AI algorithms could also tackle the problem of software just being too complex for anyone to understand it, let alone fix bugs.

I don't think it's "odd". There is too much "noise" to make it "worthwhile" to look for "feedback".

That's why Apple has the feedback portal.

Not true. With the release of watchOS 10, Apple removed the ability to change watch faces just by swiping. Though there were many of us who thought this was great, there were a lot of people who didn't. And they submitted a lot of feedback. And added the option to change the behavior back to the way it used to work. This is but the most recent of many examples of changes made due to feedback.

Apple always reads feedback. That doesn't mean they always give you what you want. But, you will definitely not get what you want if you don't tell Apple you want it. In the time it took you to post here, you could have posted feedback. Would it have allowed the same satisfying feeling of righteous indignation? No. But it might have done some more substantive good.
