To clarify, are you using an Apple branded mouse or trackpad with your iMac or a third-party one? We ask as if the mouse has a left click functionality, this may be impacting the option you see when trying to click 'next' or some other button on screen.

You can check your mouse settings under System Preferences > Mouse (or trackpad). Then you may see an option for 'Secondary click' which would control where on the mouse you're clicking to activate that feature. If you notice this issue persists, we'd also recommend testing with a different mouse if possible as well as in safe mode on your Mac. If needed, you can view the steps to access safe mode here:

Restart your Mac to exit out of safe mode after testing the issue.
