Episode 6 of Ted Lasso Series 3 won't load

I keep getting "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later." message when trying to view Episode 6 of Ted Lasso Series 3. All the other episodes have loaded without any problems on the night of release - today (19 April 2023) is the release date for Episode 6. It does load on my iPhone, but please don't suggest using mirroring : tried that, it doesn't work ("There's a problem loading this content." message on the iPhone, same error message on the TV). Any other suggestions gratefully received.

Thought I'd add my experience in too. I got the exact same thing at the exact same point in the Ted Lasso episode that then stopped anything playing except trailers and the apple TV logo. I could even fast forward through things and see the images on the tracker bar but it still wouldn't play. I contacted apple support and spoke to them three times over three days. They told me I had to contact Samsung support since it was only on my TV that I was having issues. We tried reinstalling the whole smart system, the app, signing in and out and a whole host of other things. In the end what fixed it was a simple hard reboot of the TV by pressing and holding the power button. I then got the same problem when watching that episode of Ted Lasso again but solved it again by hard reboot. I guess the classic turn it off and on again is sometimes the best solution. I had turned it off and on a few times but never hard rebooting. Unplug it for thirty seconds apparently would do the same thing. Hope it helps someone!

s24da, your advice won the day for me. From now on, when ANYTHING screws up in my life, I'm simply unplugging everything, and plugging it back in. :-) Would have never considered that my Samsung TV could have been the problem (or what needed the reset) until your post. Thank you.

Yes, one hard re-boot (unplugging my Samsung TV, waiting two minutes, plugging it back in) was all that was required. Watched Episode 6 in its entirety, and Episode 7 played with no issues. Thank you.

I found this was the only work around that sorted it for me in the end, so many different people have had this issue with ted lasso this week, all at the same spot in the programme, so many different ways people suggested as work arounds, none of them worked for me except this one…. Bear in mind when you try to do this is seems to rely upon you first having for the programme to just a split second before it freezes, before then skipping 10 seconds… Play episode 6 of latest season from beginning, fast forward to 39 mins or so where ted starts looking at sunflowers, then this bit requires a bit of patience for a moment as you may have it freeze on you one more time as you pin point the exact moment it freezes, make sure you then know exactly when in stops, how many seconds etc, then if you need to play again from beginning and fast forward again up to a literally about 2-3 seconds maximum before it freezes and then skip forward 10 seconds and it’ll play fine from then on, it’s close to the end of that scene when it freezes and next scene is team back in hotel lobby, where we last saw them. Maybe give it another try, hopefully it finally works for you too. As for Ghosted, I watched that a few days ago without an issue, my only issue has been 6 days of frustration and torture with this episode of Ted Lasso.

Same thing happening with me. The episode stops playing right when Ted starts looking at the Van Gogh paintings. It makes me wonder if Apple did something silly, like ramping up the definition of the images of the paintings somehow. I don’t know. It is extremely frustrating.

I did a speed test on my network, I restarted my device, and uninstalled/reinstalled the AppleTV app. Still the same problem at the same stop in the episode.
