Force iPadOS Connection to App Store?

My iPhone can connect and get notifications of updates available from the App Store daily if not sooner whether the App Store app is running or not. However my iPads can just sit for for hours connected to the Internet and not get any notifications for the same installed apps at all. Days later the apps updated on the phone several days before show up on the iPads as being available since the day they updated on the iPhone! Sometimes it is on different days for the iPads themselves. For example, an updated app can show up as available on the iPhone on Monday, but doesn't show up on iPad 1 until Thursday and only on iPad 2 on Saturday, yet the release date for the app shows the Monday date!

How can I force the iPads to connect to the App Store on the same day updated apps show up on the iPhone or the other iPad?

iPad mini 6, iPadOS 16

You are not going to be able force the iPad to automatically update your apps the day that an update is released. I also understand that the automatic update feature on the iPad (and in my case it includes the iPhone as well) does not work efficiently and sometimes not at all.

I recommend that you manually check for app updates once a day by following the instructions here 👉 How to manually update apps on your Apple device - Apple Support

Update. OK, I waited until today, Sunday 23 Apr 23, to do any app updates on my iPhone 12 and iPad Minis 5 & 6. The iPhone had several updates as did the iPad Mini 6, however the iPad Mini 5 didn't have ANY updates despite have the EXACT same installed apps as the Mini 6. So now I'm wondering if the App Store is either considering my iPad Mini 5 as "obsolete" or if because the Mini 5 has to stay at iOS 14.4.2 and thus no longer providing app updates to it?

That is how I do my updates now as I have autoupdates turned off. I still don't understand why the iPhone gets the updates before the iPads. I guess Apple depreciates iPad updates and accelerates the iPhone ones.

OK, since they can't seem to get its act together on doing the updates, I'll have to change my procedure. From now on I'll ignore all update notifications and only do updates once a week. Since I currently sync and backup the iPhone & iPads to iTunes on Sunday, I'll add doing the updates before the sync & backup. Thank you.
