Event and boarding passes can no longer be added to Apple Wallet (iOS 16.4.1)

Selecting

from an EventBrite event or United Airlines app’s boarding pass shows

at the bottom of the app screen and usually just hangs forever. Sometimes in the United Airlines app, the following pop up error is displayed after a few seconds:

My iPhone has PIN/FaceID enabled for login, I’ve rebooted with the same error occurring each time, and other cards and boarding passes display correctly with the most recent ones successfully added to the wallet about two weeks ago. Could the wallet data file be corrupt or maybe the latest OS update is causing issues?
