FCPX Not Supported Video 4.2K (4264 x 2408) Shot by Sony FX6 + Atomos Shogun

With the latest firmware, the Sony FX6 + Atomos Shogun can now shoot video at 4.2K Metadata Uncropped (4264 x 2408) resolution.

But I can't find 4.2K (4264 x 2408) resolution listed in FCPX.

I know I can select the resolution of the Video as “Custom” and type in 4264 x 2408 myself.

But that created a huge problem for me. Because my work is music video type, there are more than 100 shots of “Synchronized Clip” in each project. So I have to type the number 4264 x 2408 hundreds of times. (Because I have to do it every time I start using the tool. "Synchronized Clip")

I need advice Is it possible to add 4.2K (4264 x 2408) resolution list to FCPX support? Because creating a new Project also has this problem.

And still do not know if the new version of FCPX will support 4.2K resolution or not.

I'm sorry in my language and thanks for the advice

If your FX6, Shogun and audio were all jam-synced to the same timecode something like sync-n-link has the ability to automatically create multicams and synchronized clips based on a project's setting.

You should test with a few clips to make sure that FCP handles it properly in a project with whatever effects you plan to use. I don't see why it wouldn't but you don't want to get so far into the process only to discover things don't work the way you expect. What are your final delivery specs?
