Is this normal? I don't recall it doing this before, my airpod case has completely drained twice today...It went down 8% in 5 minutes and the airpods were 100% the whole time

Is it normal after using AirPods case at 68% and 3 hrs later case and AirPods DEAD? I mean the case did not even light up.
