Google Chrome is causing the hide function on the doc to turn on

I've not been able to find any sort of fix for this issue. It appears with the latest mac update that google chrome is turning on the hide function for the MacOS dock whenever I click into it. It turns off when I focus on another app. Nothing I can find in the settings of either Chrome or MacOS seems to be controlling this behavior.

FWIW, I have two installs of Ventura 13.3.1 installed along with Chrome and don't see that problem.

Make sure Ventura & Chrome are current.

You can try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.

I had the same issue and I couldn't figure it out for anything. Until I realized that it is just a function of the full screen mode in Chrome. When I hit the little yellow minimize button, and then stretched the Chrome window to all extents, it functioned the way you and I want it to where the tray and menu bar doesn't jump in and out. If I am understanding your issue correctly.
