Is it possible to download a text thread that spreads over several days to view a full conversation?

Has Apple arranged for downloading a Message thread? The data is there, obviously, and guessing this is something would be useful to many people. Dozens of screenshots isn't a realistic and impossible for longer threads. I don't see a topic that covers this.

If you have a Mac, yes.

If you have a Mac it can be done.

Text Message Forwarding to mac (Use Same Apple ID)
On Mac Open iMessage > Select the Message Thread > File > Print > Save as PDF
