Not possible....unless....you have an iPhone 6s or higher model.
iOS 12.5.7 was the last and final update for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. No more updates will ever be available for those models.

Unfortunately, i have only just acquired iphone 6 in immaculate condition, so would be reluctant to purchase another - it’s use will be limited to streaming of church services live, but there is an occasional requirement for streaming other material, like re broadcasting the coronation to community that don’t have TVs. Apparently iphone 6s is upgradeable to later ios, so will have to look into exchange!
Alternatively, purchase a newer phone capable of running a more recent and capable iOS.
Not unless the app offers an older version of the app. Look for info about the app in the App Store.
My opinion......I would not consider anything less than an iPhone 8.
Ask the App developer to release the app for lower iOS versions also. Netflix & Amazon Music has done it.
One last piece of advice besides the excellent advice offered above … If you decide to purchase a used, older iPhone, please read thur the article below first. So many people get burned buying used iPhones that cannot be used. I’d hate to have that happen to you.

That is correct; the “6s” can run up thru iOS 15.
Also, FYI, an “8” can run iOS 16. (the most current iOS)
