wacom tablets don’t work in Ventura

I can’t use any of Wacom tablets on Ventura.

First, I tried installing the drivers for Wacom Intuos pen and touch and it had some security issues - no matter how many times i have enabled it, the tablet wasn’t recognized and unable to use because it is registered as second party product. I even had to force shut down because the whole system was crashing while the tablet was connected.

These days I’m trying to connect Intuos Pro M - after installing the drivers successfully the tablet doesn’t detect any pen motion and the Wacom Center app is not responding at all. I have contacted the Wacom support and tried all the listed possible solutions, and since it didn’t make any difference I was directed to contact Apple support.

Needles to say this is very frustrating for all of using those tablets professionally every day.

If there is any way to make those tablets work, I would be happy to try it out.

I finally got it to work doing these steps.

First disconnect the Wacom?Cintiq devices then…

1. Go to your Applications folder in Finder, and delete the Wacom Tablet folder.

2. Click on Go (up on the menu bar of your Mac), and then go to Computer.

3. Click to open your hard drive (by default named Macintosh HD).

4. Open the Library folder.

5. Check for and delete any of the following, if found:

    1. Library/Application Support> delete the Tablet folder.

    2. Library/Frameworks> delete the WacomMultiTouch.framework

    3. Library/Launch Agents> delete any “com.wacom…” items found here.

    4. Library/LaunchDaemons> delete any “com.wacom…” items found here.

    5. Library/PreferencePanes> delete WacomTablet.prefpane and WacomCenter.prefpane

    6. Library/Preferences> delete the Tablet folder.

    7. Library/PriviledgedHelperTools> delete any “com.wacom…” items found here.

6. Empty your Trash

7. Download and install the driver: https://cdn.wacom.com/u/productsupport/drivers/mac/professional/WacomTablet_6.3.46-2.dmg

Plug them in and restart.

 Also if needed….

Open your System Preferences /Security and Privacy

Scroll to the input monitoring Option

Check the Wacomtablet driver

Click on quit and reopen if it shows up

Test the tablet

It's good to read that some folks have been able to get their Wacom tablets working on Ventura. These steps didn't work for me, unfortunately. Sharing what I eventually did:

I bought an App Store program called "Connect My Tablet" that did not work for me either. Mwap-mwah. [sad trumpet]

Purchased a Medium tablet from Xenselabs. Very happy with it so far. Good build quality. Easy set up. Modern. Wireless. Can recommend.
