Unable to do updates on MacBook Pro late 2011
I HAVE A LATE 2011 MacBook Pro AND I HAVE MANAGED TO USE IT WITHOUT ANY DIFFICULTIES IN THE PAST. IT WILL NOW NOT UPDATE MICROSOFT 365 OR ANY SOFTWARE UPDATE. CAN ANYONE ASSIST WITH THIS PLEASE?

What part of the High Sierra upgrade instructions fail for you?

If you aren't able to login the App Store, you will not be able to upgrade your Mac.
If your App Store is not logging in, it may be your two factor authentication is enabled on your Apple Account.
If that's the case, logging in to the App Store will require you to insert the code that comes out on your phone or iPad immediately after your your password for your Apple Account.
If you aren't running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later, you won't have an App Store compatible with the download.

First off, please fix the Caps lock key.
As far as updating, unfortunately your limitation on upgrades for a 2011 machine is Mac OS 10.13.6
This has better support of the web version of Office 365 on Firefox and Chrome browsers, but you won't get the latest stand alone support. This year is the last year that High Sierra supports stand alone Office,

So I suggest you upgrade to HIgh Sierra and get a key to hold on to before the time runs out.
I asked why the MacBook will not allow me to update apps and the other question about Microsoft. Then you ask me to upgrade to High Sierra when I confirmed that the MacBook does not allow me to upgrade at all. If anyone can help answer my original question without the sarcasm of fixing my cap lock then please do.
