No Whatsapp Notifications in Notification Centre

I suddenly stopped getting notifications on my iPhone 14 Pro. It however does show a red icon that there is a new message or more ... but when I swipe down Whatsapp doesn't appear in the Notification Centre. I did a hard reset and also reset Location & Privacy. All the correct settings are in place ... but still nothing works. The very same thing happened on my previous iPhone 13 Pro. Anybody else experiencing the same issue? All my other apps seem to be working just fine.

I have sorted the problem now. I deleted what’s app after having saved all chat history through syncing

then rebooted iPhone by turning it off

then reinstalled what’s app and its working again fine now

you can tried all the suggested remedies from internet.

for those remedies stating whatsapp notification will required “allow background app to refresh”…this is not true. I had confirmed it is not necessary.

finally, if you have a 2nd phone to send whatsapp msg to you..and on the 2nd phone tick status is only single tick, and it will only turns to double ticks after u open whatsapp, i think the working solution is to re-install the whatsapp, and choose not to restore chat history. Mine was finally resolved by this method…Sad, lost all the chat history.

Here's some extra steps you can take.

1. Check WhatsApp notification settings: Open the WhatsApp app, go to "Settings" > "Notifications" and ensure that notifications are enabled for messages, groups, and calls.

2. Check iPhone notification settings: Go to "Settings" > "Notifications" > scroll down and find "WhatsApp." Ensure that "Allow Notifications" is toggled on, and configure the notification settings according to your preferences.

3. Check Do Not Disturb settings: Ensure that Do Not Disturb is not enabled, as this could be suppressing notifications. Go to "Settings" > "Do Not Disturb" and check the settings.

4. Check battery optimization settings: Go to "Settings" > "Battery" and check if your iPhone is in Low Power Mode. If it is, disable it as background app activity may be limited, affecting notifications.

5. Update WhatsApp: Go to the App Store, search for "WhatsApp," and check if there's an update available.

6. Reinstall WhatsApp: Consider deleting and reinstalling the WhatsApp app. Before doing this, make sure you back up your chat history to iCloud. After reinstalling the app, restore your chat history and check if notifications work properly.

Additionally, you can report the issue to WhatsApp support so they can investigate and address the problem in future updates.

My WhatsApp did the same too, I did everything possible but it didn’t work but I now switched off the WhatsApp notifications from the in app settings and the phone notifications, then closed WhatsApp and restarted my phone then switched on the notifications back from the WhatsApp in app settings and the iPhone notifications settings and it started working back.

PS: I didn’t delete my WhatsApp

My IOS updated to is 17.3.1

I was having this problem with my iphone 15pro max and i tried deleting what’s app and re installing it , then restarted my phone and it worked out , i think it’s a lag that happens with the new iOS . I personally don’t think that reinstalling what’s app solved the issue , I think my phone just only needed a Restart .. and i’m pretty sure also that it has nothing to do with low battery mode as it now works all good with the low battery mode being turned on .. hope this helps !
